Back In Service Assumes NO Liability

We do not cover any consequential damages, and our liability is limited to repairing or replacing defective goods. Products are sold "AS IS" and "WITH ALL FAULTS". The entire risk as to the quality and performance of the product is with the buyer. We are not an insurer, and bear no liability for any use, misuse, or failure to perform.

All items are described to the best of our abilities and are in no way guaranteed. Body Armor (vests) may be expired and may not carry a manufacturer warranty, and no guarantee of performance, safety and reliability is made. Items purchased from Back In Service are to be used at YOUR OWN RISK.

The purchaser assumes all risks and liability for these products and shall hold Back In Service, LLC. harmless from all claims, demands, causes of actions, losses, damages, penalties, liabilities, and expenses howsoever arising from or relating in any way to the use and handling of this product, including without limitation, those arising from the death or injury to any person or property. We neither assume, nor authorize any person to assume for us any liability in connection with the sale or use of our products, and there are no oral agreements and/or warranties collateral to or affecting this agreement in part and whole. We hereby give notice that any statement made by us in the sale of the goods, shall not create any implied warranty that the goods shall be fit for any particular purpose. This agreement is governed by the laws of Michigan and any disputes arising therefrom shall be resolved in Genesee County, Michigan.

No armor is one-hundred percent effective in all situations. Body armor will protect you from the vast majority of ballistic threats; however the following may defeat body armor. Rifle rounds, high velocity pistol ammunition, Pistol ammo fired from a rifle barrel, armor piercing ammunition, shots fired at unusual angles, sharp-edged or pointed instruments (e.g., knives, icepicks, etc.) and other unusual ammunition or situations. Also, at some angles projectiles can slide, or deflect off the edges of Armor, or ricochet. Furthermore, projectiles that are successfully stopped by armor will always produce some level of injury, resulting in severe bruising, broken bones, and possibly serious internal injury or even death. Ballistic steel body armor defeats most projectiles, but no vest on makes you invulnerable to all threats. Getting shot always carries serious risk. By buying armor you assume ALL risks of use or misuse, and agree not to hold us liable in any way. In addition, you are responsible to ensure that your ballistic panels are positioned inner side in, and outer side out if applicable.

LEGAL CIRCUMSTANCES REGARDING THE SALE OF BODY ARMOR

Residents of Connecticut are prohibited from buying Body Armor. We are not legally authorized to sell and/or ship our vests and/or armor plating to Connecticut. No exceptions will be made to this policy under any circumstances.

It is the SOLE responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that all transactions conform to U.S. and Federal, State and Local Statutes, Codes, and Ordinances.

Returns and Warranty

Back In Service provides no warranty for items and for this reason, is unable to accept returns. Please understand that these items may have had a former life prior to being in your hands. Therefore, items may be used, and may have wear but we take every effort to test and inspect all items to determine the proper condition. If you feel an item just isn’t working out for you, but is in working condition, please donate the item back to us to get it in the next professional’s hands. Every piece of gear helps!

Shipping Policy

Back In Service charges a flat rate of $13 per order. This covers various costs relating to Back In Service. Shipping is usualy via USPS and when we have tracking, we will update the order. Please login to your account on Back In Service to view the order status.

Verification of Affiliations

Back In Service requires all recipeints to confirm their affiliation with their department. This involves Back In Service contacting the HR rep, or department head to confirm the information. If affiliation cannot be confirmed or you're not in good standing with your department, your order may be cancelled and refunded. 

Back In Service reserves the right to refuse orders to anyone for any reason and may not provide a reason for declining service. All decisions by Back In Service are final.
